We are the Champions!

okay so maybe not we but Jordan is. Ever since I met him I knew that he was a little obsessed with sports..... In the spring Jordan was on 4 different soft ball teams. I went to as many games as I could but I was still working at Fatcats so I wasn't able to attend that many. Jordan is really good though so I enjoy watching. In the summer he slowed it down a little and only did 2 teams, a BYU intramural, and the Provo City League.

Pretty much all of his teams have made it to the finals but end up losing. But finally for the Provo City League they won!!! They are the champions! Woo Hoo!! Here is the winning team. They did so good.

The Start of a New Life Together

The excitement or rather the stress started a few days before with all the last minute details. I was trying to think of everything but its hard to remember all the little things.

Mom, Dad, Julia, and Ben got in Thursday night after driving all day. And everyone else arrived throughout the next day and a few stragglers (brothers) got in the morning of. Friday we had a lot of things to accomplish, the main thing being draping the cultural hall. It was such a pain. We had half of it up and then had to take it down and start all over again. I felt really bad for wanting that after seeing how difficult it was to put up. We had it about half way up and none of the rest of the reception set up when we all had to leave to get changed for a dinner with the Smith family, so everyone could meet. After dinner Christiana, my new sister in law, and Katie, threw me a Bridal shower. Christiana is so crafty and made it look so cute. Dawn also made it to Utah in time for it. It was a lot of fun, even though I had to put like 15 pieces of gum in my mouth from not knowing Jordan as well as I guess I should. It was also good seeing friends that I haven't in a while. The boys in my family went back to the cultural hall to finish setting up and the girls went after the party ended. I drove by after to see how it all looked and I was soo impressed. Seriously, from how we left it before dinner to how it looked that night it was a complete transformation. And I know that it took so much work but I loved it and I am sooooo grateful to everyone that helped set it up because I know that it was such a pain in the butt.

WEDDING DAY
I had to wake up at 6 because Jordan and I were taking our pictures before at a local garden. My friend, Brittney, was our photographer and I think that she did such an exceptional job, especially for it just being a hobby for her. We were there for a few hours and then had a little big of down time before the ceremony at 5. Or at least he did, He took a nap. I went to get my nails done, which took FOREVER because the place was sooo busy. And then I came home to help with anything else that needed to be done before we left, shower, and get ready. I really didnt have time to help out with anything though. Apparently,I take a little longer getting ready for my wedding than I do most days. I asked Dawn to help me with me hair.(i just wanted to feel somewhat pampered on my wedding day.) And it turned out ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!! Thank you so much Dawn!! I got over to Bishop Brammers house, where we were getting married at 4 to finish getting ready and what not. I went into the back yard and it was set up completely wrong so I had everyone there setting up chairs in the right spot. I didn't start putting on my dress and last minute prepping until like 10 til 5. OOPS! oh well I was ready when I needed to be.

People kept asking if I was excited to get married and its not that I wasnt, it was that I didnt really feel like it was actually happening. Even 10 til the wedding, even as we were all line up to walk down the aisle, Even when the music started and everyone was gone and it was just me waiting to walk out. It was the moment when I stepped in the door and saw my dad and he looked at me and got all choked up. Thats when it finally set in that I was getting married.

The ceremony was good. A little long for me and I was concerned about all the men in suits that were for sure so hot! But it was really nice.

The reception afterwards was good also. The place looked fantastic! Jordan and I decided not to have a line, and I feel like that didnt really make it hard for people to come see us. You wouldnt be able to do that in a bigger reception though because we were talking to people the whole time and because there was not a line they wanted to talk a lot longer than just say hello and congrats! We did all our traditional stuff and I completely forgot my garter so I borrowed Christiana's daughters head band! HAHA. But it all worked out and we were out of there at 9.

The whole day was great and I want to thank everyone that did so much to help out with it. My family is fantastic! I am sooo lucky to have such wonderful family members that are willing to serve. and friends that were also helping out also, like brittney with the photography, and yaya with the music, and Kevin with the set up of everything and the take down. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!!

And while we were not able to get sealed in the temple this year Jordan and I are both looking forward to having everyone together again to share in that special event with us when we are able to next year!
